Christmas Cake Pops

Tuesday, 14 January 2014

These are the Christmas cake pops I made for my family. They were made from left over Christmas cake and dipped in chocolate.
The cake was first broken up into crumbs then mixed with a little apricot jam for a slightly sticky consistency. Then I used a tool which I think is called a meatballer which looks like a pair of scissors with semi-spheres on each end. I just can’t roll consistent sized balls with my hands.

Then I dipped the sticks in a little chocolate and inserted into the balls, letting them set in the fridge for a few hours. After that, I dipped them in milk chocolate, let that harden and drizzled white chocolate over the top, finishing with some candy decorations of holly and berries.
